Wishing you Light, Love, and Peace!
|
|
For so many of our religious traditions, light is a powerful symbol! It represents hope, direction, warmth, presence, enlightenment, energy, and the future.
In our corner of the western hemisphere, light is at a premium during the long winter months. Yet the winter solstice, a celebration that celebrates the rebirth of the sun, reminds us that there is often light just beyond the darkness. However faint, if we’re still and present enough, we can perceive a luminous darkness.
We encourage the AU community to find ways to be light to each other in this season when it can be so easy to slip into darkness. As you prepare for finals next week, stop by and connect with each other in community and celebration (more information below).
The Wackerlin Center staff wishes you light and love as you finish the semester!
In solidarity,
Justin West
